Elisabeth B. Reynolds, Ph.D., is a Lecturer in the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning in Innovation and Competitiveness. She was former Special Assistant to President Biden for Manufacturing and Economic Development at the National Economic Council during 2021-2022 where she helped lead the Administration’s work on supply chain resilience, national manufacturing strategy, regional economic development and the broader industrial policy agenda. Before working in the Biden Administration, Reynolds was the executive director of the MIT Industrial Performance Center from 2010-2021 and co-led the MIT Task Force on the Work of the Future. Reynolds’ work and research focus on manufacturing-related issues including growing innovative firms to scale and digital technology adoption by small and large firms. She has worked on rebuilding manufacturing capabilities in the U.S. at the federal and state level, serving on the scale up committee of the Obama Administration’s Advanced Manufacturing Partnership (AMP) as well as for several Massachusetts Governors’ on the state’s advanced manufacturing strategy. She sits on the board of the non-profit, Advanced Functional Fabrics of America, one of the 16 Manufacturing USA innovation institutes. Reynolds received her B.A. from Harvard, a Master’s in Economics from the University of Montreal and a Ph.D. from MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning in urban and regional economic development.

Natan Linder is co-founder and CEO of manufacturing technology company, Tulip, and co-founder and chairman of Formlabs, the pioneer and industry leader in professional desktop 3D printing. Drawing from over 15 years of experience and accomplished careers at companies like Samsung, Sun Microsystems, and Rethink Robotics, Linder holds a depth of expertise in computer science, product design, and entrepreneurship. Prior to starting Tulip and Formlabs, Linder was co-founder and general manager of Samsung Electronics’ R&D Center in Israel, spearheading the group’s innovation efforts in mobile and shipping multiple products to the global market. He’s served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Jerusalem Venture Partners, the leading Israeli venture capital firm. Linder holds a PhD from MIT Media Lab’s Fluid Interfaces Group and a S.M. in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT. Linder’s work aims to fuse design and engineering to create novel human experiences.

This team applies cutting-edge digital and analytics capabilities to enhance both McKinsey's consulting insights and the fundamental performance of our clients. Phil’s team develops and deploys proprietary digital tools while also partnering with leading technology players to assist our clients in their digital transformations.
Prior to this role, Phil started his McKinsey journey as a consultant focused on Operations topics in various industries.

Alex Klick is a Senior Manufacturing Engineer under the production injection molding division at Protolabs in Rosemount, Minnesota.
Alex graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville with a BS in Industrial Technology Management with minors in Drafting & Product Development as well as Business Administration and has 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. He started his industrial journey in a gray ductile iron foundry on the floor and eventually as an engineering intern. Before graduating, he held an engineering co-op with a high-end machine shop creating drawings and routing documentation for aerospace, medical, defense, firearm, recreational, as well as industrial components.
He then started his professional career with a brief stint in the water treatment and filtration industry as a Product Engineer designing and building testing equipment. Alex moved onto a Tooling & Maintenance Engineer role within the baby product industry with NUK-USA. There he created a preventative maintenance program from the ground up for all injection molds, improving tooling uptime drastically, and would troubleshoot molds and equipment under tight schedules. He led a big kaizen event within the maintenance department and the project was recognized as “most improved” among 140+ other locations that year. He won several quarterly performance awards, one annual performance award, as well as obtaining Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certification. Alex was then promoted to Tool Room Supervisor where he led a three-man toolmaker team and would complete Lean Six Sigma green belt training through the University of Wisconsin.

Erik Mirandette is the Chief Business Officer at Tulip, the leader in frontline operations technology spun out of MIT. He has 15+ years experience in building and leading teams in operations and product development. Today, Tulip has raised over $150M dollars in venture capital, employs 260+ people and supports 500+ customers with operations in over 20+ countries.
Prior to Tulip, Erik served as a military officer for over six years assigned to the Air Force Strategic Counterintelligence Branch with tours in Afghanistan, Southeast Asia and Japan. Erik, a Tillman Scholar, also spent time in the non-profit space based in North Africa, and in venture capital prior to joining Tulip.
Erik holds a B.S. from the Air Force Academy, an M.A from Norwich University, an M.B.A from M.I.T. He is the author of “The Only Road North” a memoir of his experiences in Africa.

As a student, Dan has continued to develop applications for his university degree dissertation, focused on OEE. Also winning the Made in Sheffield Apprentice of the Year award through the development of a digital OEE system.

Mr. Reynolds’ career spans more than 20 years with time spent in Mining, Steel, Printing, and
Tier 1 Automotive prior to transitioning into systems integration, and ultimately becoming a
business owner and educator.
All those years on the plant floor with operators, supervisors, management teams, project and
safety coordinators, and the like, taught Walker valuable lessons that he carried with him into
architecting solutions as an outside consultant. Not all system integrators bring with them the
experience of working in these various environments: a convergence of theory and engineering
methods with real-life know-how.
Walker manages every aspect of his life with a few key principles in mind: authenticity, expertise,
humility, servant leadership, and transparency. At his core, he wishes to serve the
manufacturing community by leveraging his knowledge and partners. Walker has a keen vision
to help save and create middle class jobs in the United States specifically by helping
manufacturers.
